The former chief minister R Gundu Rao son Ajay Gundu Rao also known as Rajesh Gundu Rao in academic records passed away on Thursday at Manipal Hospital at the age of 41. He breathed last on account of brain hemorrhage.

Ajay Gundu Rao the youngest son of Former chief minister R Gundu Rao made a beginning as Kannada lecturer in Kannada cinema ‘Hoovu Hannu’ that was based on Triveni novel in the direction of SV Rajendra Singh Babu. Former stormy petrel in the legislative house KH Srinivas former minister of Congress I, daughter Vyjayanthi Srinivas made a debut as counterpart to Ajay Gundu Rao. The famous child actor at that time Baby Shamili was the daughter of Ajay and Vyjayanthi couple in the film. Actress Lakshmi bagged the state award for her role in the film ‘Hoovu Hannu’.

Dinesh Gundu Rao MLA of Gandhinagar is the elder brother of Rajesh Gundu Rao. Recently Rajesh Gundu Rao took two decisions for his August 8 birthday – one is coming to Kannada cinema and the other in is joining JD (U) political party.
